Connecting to Google Analytics Demo Account Gives an Error 403

Hi All,

I am trying to connect Google Analytics Demo Account to PowerBi Desktop. I tried the following steps.

  1. Selected Get Data
  2. Selected Google Analytics
  3. Clicked Connect
  4. I can see 1 connection i.e
    Capture 01.PNG
  5. I had exapand the tree until to display 1 Master View [10] and from that I have tried to select one of the items as shown in the below screenshot
    Capture 02.PNG
  6. Then I expanded one of the categories and clicked on the check box and I could see the message "preview is evaluating" and then suddenly the below message is showing.
    Capture 03.PNG

I tried several times to connect this and could not make it work. What is the issue with this?

Could someone please let me know any working Google Analytics resource rather than this demo account?

Thanks and regards,
Chiranthaka

@Chiransj,

I can successfully load data from Google Analytics into Power BI Desktop. Based on this article, to solve the 403 error,  you would need to get sufficient permissions to perform the operation on the specified entity on Google Analytics side.

There is a simliar thread about how to grant service account permissions for your reference.
