the file "blah" is not a valid custom visual

Ok so i have spent two days very tediously figuring out how all this works!

My visual works great in the web when using the developer visual, but now I have packaged it and tried to import it to desktop I am getting this error....

however I can see that it doesn't seem to have packaged my js or ts files, the package just contains a json file with not much in it!
