web api

I have been given a link to a web api from one of our suppliers to access data in addition to a username and password.  Is it possible to access this web api from Power BI and model the data and output reports?  If so, can you provide some guidance?  I am not familiar with web programming. Thanks

Hi @emmaclarke83,

Yes. Power BI desktop supports Web API as data source. If your API is presented as an ODATA feed, please use "OData Feed connector" (Home -> Get data -> OData Feed) to create connection to web API. If the API is a common one, please choose "Web" (Home -> Get data -> Web) connector to fetch data.

Please look at below blog post see it helps. Using ZappySys ODBC API drivers you can import any REST API. It support HTTP Basic Auth too (User name / password )
