Good mornign all,
In Power BI desktop, when connecting in ImportMode, writing DAX functions, parameters are seperated by commas.
Using a "DirectQuery", DAX formula parameters should be seperated by semi colons!
Can anyone help kindly explaining the differrence?
is it a DAX/MDX?
Thank you...

Are you connecting to a Cube? If so is it Tabular or Multidimensional?
Can you give an example of what your are trying to do?
Dax Studio is great for testing cube connections and works with MDX and DAX.

I've not tested it but I would have thought any MDX or DAX that runs in Dax Studio should work in PowerBI as it uses the Semantic model. You won't be able to mix DAX functions in your MDX. However you can add Dax measures after it's loaded.
