I imported a CSV file. In that file I have a column Date which has dates formatted as "DD/MM/YYYY", e.g., 20/05/2015. The import went well and the vast majority of the items were successfully imported, but some failed:
17/01/2016 30/03/2016 15/03/2016
27/03/2016
[...]
Why did they fail even though I'm using the type date with PT-BR Locale for the Date column in PBI Desktop?
The error I get:
DataFormat.Error: We couldn't parse the input provided as a Date value. Details: 27/03/2016

Hope this will solve error
That won't fix the issue. I already manually set the type and locale for this column, but the issue persists.
When I convert the values provided with Locale pt-BR, I get no errors.
My suspicion would be that your data may contain some invisible leading or trailing characters.
You may check if the text length is 10 in all cases.
Otherwise: maybe you can share some sample data exactly in the format that causes issues?
I'll check the data for inconsistent spaces, sadly I can't provide any sample. I'll keep you up-to-date if I find anything.
