Useful of column, measure, calculated column

Hi everyone, 

Could you please explain to me what is the useful and diference between column, measure and calculated column

A column is what you extract from you data source, you have rows and columns.

 

A calculated column is something you don't have in your data and you want to add. For example, you have the price of an item, you have the amount sold of this item but you don't have the amount received from the sales. A calculated column will help having the money earned from sales. example : CalculatedColumn = SalePrice*Amount

 

A measure is a calculation that you don't really need on each rows. For example, if I don't have my calculated column i've explained above, I could create a measure to have the sum of each sales directly. Like Measure = SUM(SalePrice*Amount)
