Top N on multiple fields

I have a table with follwing 4 fields

1- CAT

2- SubCAT

3- DetailCAT

4- Sales

I have created a Bar chart with drill down on Cat--> SubCat-->DetailCat on X Axis and value is SUM(Sales)

I want to show Top 10 of CAT initially on the bar chart, then when I drill down to next level (SUBCAT), we want to see TOP 10 of SUBCAT, and then when we drill down to next level, we want to see TOP 10 of  DetailCAT

Thanks in Advance.

No, it can't be achieved.

For numeric field, like Sales, it's not possible to add TOP N filter.

For different level CAT field, we can apply a TOP N filter. However, once you apply a TOP N filter on one level, all other levels are fixed, which means you can't make each CAT level keep only TOP N entries when drill down.

I would think that would be able to put your Sales in your visual and just use the Filters area to do a TopN filter on it that should work as you drill down through the categories.
