Time Intelligence that last year after year

Hi, 

I have this measure:

MTD PY Value = CALCULATE(TOTALMTD(SUM(vw_OMD_Facts[Value]),DateDimension[Date]),DateDimension[Year] = "2017")

How do I make this measure work for years to come? I do not want to have to go in and update the PY(previous year) to be 2018 once 2019 comes.

Create 2 measure for this.

1. Sales_LastYear=CALCULATE(SUM(Sales_Fact.Sales),DATEADD(Dates[Date],-1,YEAR)

Then use this and

Sales_LYTD=CALCULATE(Sales_LastYear,DATESYTD(Dates[Date]))
