Hello ,
for Shift analysis i need to display a whole day Strating at 22:00 the day before and ends at 21:59 the same day with Power BI.
My problem is , that if i use a Time Datatype for the Axis i can't sort anymore.
And if i use the time as text i can sort but bars are to broad , and i have to scroll to see the whole day.
I need kind of a combination of the two.
Can anyone suggest any solution ?
best regards
Tobi
HI @muehtob,
I'd like to suggest you to add column to store custom sort order, then use this column as sort by column of time column.
Sort by column in Power BI Desktop

Hey @v-shex-msft as you can see in the first picture , if i select the Time [time datatype] as the axis the option for sort by disappears. I already added another column for sorting but i can only select it if i choose the time [as a string] for the axis (second picture). And if i choose that option the graph is to "long" and not compressable (auto group as it is possibe if you select time [time datatype] as an axis)
i know it sounds a little bit confusing but i hope someone can understand my problem and help
Regards,
Tobi
Hi @muehtob,
Nope. I test with some methods but can't modify sort order of chart axis label, maybe you can try to submit an idea for this requirement.
