Slicers not working as they should

I have two slicers one for 'fin year' and one for 'fin month'.

The report is setup using direct query to pull out the data for this month + this month+1.

What is happening is that 2016 is not always available and neither is 2017, sometimes though both are available after a lot of clicking between slicers.  If I select Hnaury the year changes to only 2017 and doesnt allow me to select 2016, but because the year is 2017 it doesnt allow me to sleect December to change it to 2016.

However if I select nothing it gives me the option of 2016 and 2017.

Hi @Anonymous,

It seems that the one slicer values can be filtered by other slicers, you can check Edit Interactions to set the slicer can't be filter by other one.

If I misunderstand the issue, please share the .pbix for our analysis if possible.
