SAP BW connections timing out

When connecting to SAP BW it is not unusual for our corporate users to have the connection time out.  Is there some setting that can help with this?  Also is there a limit to how much data that Power BI can import?  Data size or rows/columns?  Finally, we are looking to switch to SAP Hana withing the next two years.  Will this platform be better when it comes to pulling in large data sources from SAP?

Just a follow-up...I get this error after only connecting to a Date, Customer and Profit Center fields.

Hi @Anonymous  - did you find a solution to this ? I guess BW is the issue as I get the error by importing only 300.000-400.000 records. Thx

No solution yet.  For some reason it stoppped on its own the other day without anyone doing anything.
