HELP - Relationships are not working
I am pulling data from one databse and trying to join that with a table from another database.
It is not allowing me to create the links in the design mode!
None of the fields are allowing me to join.
I am running windows 10 64 bit November update.
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous,
When you create a relationship, it will prompt both columns don't have distinct values.
You can create a table visual to show count of the activitydate column from Query1, count value 2 means there are duplicate values. Regarding the Calendar$ table, you can see there are more than one blank rows, also are duplicate rows. So it's expected that we can't create a relationship. You can see attached pbix file.
In your scenario, you can go to query editor, use Remove Blank Rows to remove blank rows in Calendar$ table. After apply change, you should be able to create the relationship between activitydate and Date.

Hi @Anonymous,
Are you using the Power BI desktop installed from the Store? I have tested with Store version and normal version (downloaded from download site), we can create relationships for tables from different databases.
would you please share detail steps for us to reproduce the issue?
Note: Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
