Hi Microsoft Admins,
I wanted to alert you to a bug in the November update. When a user tries to switch their data connection (for example from the DEV server to PROD) it breaks all the visuals. However, saving and reopening causes the visuals to work again. Please escalate this issue to the product team for a fix. More detail can be found in the community post here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/November-2017-update-cannot-connect-to-data-model/m-p/29981...
Thanks,
James

Hi @Anonymous,
Please see below response from PG team:
This is a known issue that we plan to address with a QFE this month. In the meanwhile there is a workaround - after switching the data source settings, save and close the report and reopen it. After reoping the visuals should load correctly. Unfortunately this will have to happen everytime the source is changed in the session. The QFE will resolve the issue altogether.

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft and @Vicky_Song
I installed the update from the 17th (Version: 2.52.4921.682 64-bit (November, 2017)) and confirmed that it fixed issues on my end. Thanks for your help with getting this resolved.
Hi @Anonymous,

Hi @v-qiuyu-msft,
I also am getting the issue while using Tabular live connection. Thanks for repoting it!
James
Hi @Anonymous,
Which data source do you get data from? I reproduce the issue with SSAS tabular live connection and already reported it internally: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/SSAS-tabular-model-switch-issue/idi-p/302132
