LY Measure is not working in PBI desktop (SSAS Olap Live Connection)

I have an SSAS OLAP database that I am using as data source for my Power report (live connection)

I have couple of calculated measure that are using time intelligence, for example this one for LY

CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[Measures].[Amount LY] AS
([Measures].[Amount],
ParallelPeriod([Date].[Year - Quarter - Month - Day].[Year]
,1
,[Date].[Year - Quarter - Month - Day].CurrentMember))

This works fine in excel, the measure works on all levels (year, quarter, month, day)

However, whatever I try in Power BI Desktop it just gives me LY numbers for the full year.

For example when adding the date hierarchy ([Date].[Year - Quarter - Month - Day]) and the measure ([Measures].[Amount LY]) to a matrix gives me the same numbers for all levels (year, quarter, month, day) for a given year, standing on 2017 January for example gives me value of Amount for the whole year of 2016.

Is this expected behavior? Any workarounds?

@jockefe

I haven't encountered this issue. I tested with Month Level, it works properly.

Can you update your Power BI Desktop in latest version and try again?

Regards,

Thanks for getting back!

I have the latest version all ready.

It seems to work better for you.

Can you please try one more thing? Does the measure work when only including the month or do you have to incluide the whole hierarchy (year, semester, quarter, month) ?
