In order to have it as a hyperlinked text, it should be of type WEB URL

As far as I know, this is not available in Desktop version yet. You can vote for it here https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/10841055-allow-hyperlinks-on-the-...

What you can do for now is duplicate the column with the URLs, model one as Image URL and the other as Web URL.

Place them both next to each other in the same table.

Go to the table formatting pane, under Values choose the URL icon to be enabled.

You will get something like this where the user clicks on the chain to be redirected to the image.

You must upload them to a certain photo service and use their URL.

There is a way to incorporate a hyperlink to an image but only works once published to the online service. This works using the html viewer custom visual which can be downloaded from the Power BI custom visuals site. What I had done was created a column that included the image url (which you need to double check this works in a power BI report), the link, and the html code. You have to insert the html code:

<a href="link you are pointing to"> <img src="image url> </a>

However do note that this only works once the report is published to the online service and you have to hit 'ctrl'+ left-click and it will take you to the deired tab. If you just click on the image, the visual will break and you will have to refresh the page.

@gopichilla

You just need to change the category of the data field into "Image URL".

Dear Simon,

Thank you for your response.

Kindly let me know which visual I need to choose to get the desired result.

Thanks,

@gopichilla Images can be displayed in tables, matrices, and slicers.

Hi @SabineOussi

Thank you for ur answer.

It is only showing the image but I want Image hyperlink.

Where I click a particular image then open another link in the browser.

Thanks,

Gopi

Then the data category should be Web URL instead of Image URL.

Hope this helps!

Yes data category is image URL only but I can't able to perform an action on image

and NOW  you can have it render the IMAGE url as a datatype, then set it to conditional formatting as a Web URL!  🙂

You can put an image like (?) behind a textbox with a hiperlink (whitespace) pointing

to a website. Then set the transparency to 100% of the textbox. Its what i did and worked fine.
