I have a column chart which I want to always show values for the current year and previous 3 years. To do this, I used the Year in the visual level filter and set it to the Top N filter type and showing the top 4 items. However, this chart is on a page with other charts that need to be filtered by the current year. Is there a way for me to use a page filter for year and have this specific chart always show the selected year and previous 3 years but the other charts only show the selected year?
Any help is greatly appreciated - thank you in advance!
Hi,
I am not sure of how much i can help but i'd like to try something. Can you share the link from where i can download your file. Also, let me exactly which visual do you want to show 4 years of data.
Hi @PorterHaus,
Page level filter will affect all visuals existing on current page. While a visual level filter only apply filter to a specific visual. If you set both page level filter and visual level filter, the former one works like a parent filter, the latter one looks like a sub filter. In other words, if you have set page level filter to current year, all visuals show value under current year. It is not possible to add records in additional years for a specific visual.
Based on this scenario, you have cofigure visual level filter separately for each visual.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
