I have a PBIX file with hard coded data in it.
When opening this file in another computer, I see the error: "Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Please try again later." in all visualizations - none is displayed.
I checked the data tables, the relationships, the measures, it's all there, but the visualizations are not.
This is the error message I got from "Copy Details":

did you check your connection to the database?

so the data in the visual you could see in the pbix? maybe try pulling the same data into another visual to see if its working, but first check the database server to see if its online

@vanessafvg, as I mentioned, the data was entered manually, so there's no connection to any database.
I can see the tables with the data in it, refresh the data, access the query editor, but the visuals display the same error.
Also tried adding a new visual, but it doesn't work, I get the same error.

Power BI Desktop is running, so I guess it's not a hardware issue, right?
It's not hardware issue, but software issue. As mentioned in document, the minimum requirement is "Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2, or later".
When you open a .pbix file, it will create a temp Analysis Service Tabular worksapce under "%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\AnalysisServicesWorkspaces". However, the minimal OS requirement for SSAS tabular is "Windows Vista/ Windows Server 2008 R2, or later". Your current OS (Windows NT) can't host a temp Tabular instance so that it will throw "Failed to open the MSOLAP connection" error. Even your data is hard coded in .pbix, it can't feed any visuals.
Please open this .pbix on "Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2, or later" OS.
