Error: Function 'WEEKNUM' is not allowed as part of calculated column DAX expressions on DirectQuery

Hi,

I am trying to extract weeknum from Timestamp column by using below DAX:
WeekNumber = WEEKNUM(DailyConsumptionDetails[Timestamp],2)

However, i get below error:
Function 'WEEKNUM' is not allowed as part of calculated column DAX expressions on DirectQuery

My dataset is a live connection, i have also tried adding column in "Query Editor" by going to AddColumn > Date > Week > WeekOfMonth but it says that it is not supported in Direct Query mode.

Please help with any workaround.

@prateekraina,

In Power Query, we use Date.WeekOfYear to return a number for the count of week in the current year.

For example
Date.WeekOfYear(DateTime.FromText("2011-02-21")) equals 8
