My scenario is the following: I have a table with a variable number of rows, but also a dynamic number of columns, i. e. the number of columns is not known when the report is designed.
The goal (well, a simplified version of the goal) is: display a line chart for each column. The abscissa values are given by the first column, and in each chart there is one data point per row.
Is that possible in Power BI?
And above that, if it's possible, would it be possible to filter the set of displayed columns (and accordingly, the set of displayed line charts) based on some other data?

Hi @BerndG,
1. The dynamic number of rows won't be a problem. The visual will be updated automatically when new data adds in. But the dynamic number of columns will be problem. We can't use a column that doesn't exist in any visual or formulas.
2. Maybe there is a workaround. We can estimate the number of columns and create a empty source table. Then create visuals without data. The source table and visuals will be updated when new data add in.
3. You can filter a visual based on the columns of the same table or the columns from related table. In other words, there should be a relationship.
Best Regards!
