Drillthrough: Have all filtered slicer values remain in target report

The desired experience is that all original entries of the "Manager" slicer remain with the passed in value filtered on.  Essentially, as if the user started on the target report page where there is a full list of names in a slicer and the user clicked a single slicer entry to filter the report.  The other entries remain so as to be able to select a different person after review.

Currently, the only slicer value to remain is what was passed in as a result of the drillthrough.  The user must "go back" to the original report page, select another person and drillthrough to see the results.

Hi @ron_holyfield,

Currently in Power BI, the slicer is only working in current page. It can't cross pages. Also you can understand it as Drill Through won't consider the Slicer/Filter context of a parent visual.

So if your target table is in another page, I'm afraid your requirement cannot be achieved.

And there's a known Idea for it, you can vote it up.

Thanks,

To clarify, the "Manager" Slicer exists on the Target page, not the Source.  The Target Report page contains a Bar Chart with the Manager's name that serves as the drillthrough filter to the Target Report page.  The Target Report containing the Slicer is defined with all the Managers but the result of the drillthrough filters (removes) all but the Manager's name that was used in the drill.

The desired experience is that the Target Report's Slicer retains the complete list of Managers but the drillthrough selects the drillthrough context just as if the user started on the Target, clicked the Slicer in the Target, and the Target report filters the results.  All the Managers names still exist in the Slicer with only the selected checked/filtered.  The Source Report page is strictly utilized for directed navigation for further details: e.g.: Summary/Detail.
