Different data format getting data from web page

Hi,

I'm importing data from "Table 04" of http://www.tradingeconomics.com/ to Power Bi desktop.

Depending on the PC I'm using, it might import the data with different formats.

For example, the 2nd column (GDP YoY) may be imported as:

1.90%

or

190% (ignores the dot)

This changes the value of this field when converted to percentage or decimal number, therefore I'd like to know why is the dot being ignored.

In both PCs I've set Regional setttings to Portuguese Locale.

Thanks for helping!

Hi @webportal,

I'm also from Portugal and come across some similar issues since the computer I have is corporate issued and is in English but the regional settings are in Portuguese, so a litle messing up in the way Power BI assumes the values.

Two questions that I had when doing files in different computers with the same data formats:

- Regional Settings of the Power BI files

- Version of Power BI desktop app, I don't know exactly from what date forward the power query in PBI was improved and the "." and everything else didn't got any errors when donwloading from web content.

Check this in both PC it can help.

Any question tell me.

Regards

Thanks!

Regional settings are identical, I'll check the PBI version.
