DATESYTD not supported in one of my Power BI Desktops while supported in the other one

Hi Top Kudo'ers,

I am building up some report using direct query to Datawarehouse. One of my work stations has no issues with giving hints/intellisense as I wrote dax on DATEYTD. Nor do visuals have any issues. I then saved this pbix file.

The other day, when I was trying to modify the report through another another desktop, visuals with measures including DATESYTD could not display. Both Power BI Desktop version are up to Sept. 2017.

Can any one help please?

Have you enabled following DirectQuery option in another desktop?

Never bothered to check this check in the option settings. It worked.

That sounds really odd. Are you saying that intellisense isn't working at all on the other workstation or just particular functions?
