Hi All,
I note the October update includes SSAS cell level formatting support. I have a cube with currency conversion and apply the language in an MDX script as shown here:
//Euro
Language([Reporting Currency].[Currency].&[1]) = 1031;
//Local = Euro
Language([Reporting Currency].[Currency].&[2147483647]) = 1031;
//GBP
Language([Reporting Currency].[Currency].&[2]) = 2057;
However Power BI is still showing cells formatted as currency using the local regional settings of the machine, i.e. everything with £ symbols regardless of the currency selected.
Does anyone know how to display live SSAS currency conversion scenarios in Power BI with the correct currency symbols?
Just in case a picture of the issue will help.....
PBI on the left, Excel on the right. Same Data Source.
Hi @NickColebourn,
I tested it using August version, we can't format the currency, while it works in Excel. Your formatting is a cell level formatting. Up to now, cell level Formatting and translation features are not supported in this release of SSAS MD. Please review : Limitations of SSAS Multidimensional Models in Power BI Desktop.
Please review the feature requests and vote them.
Better support for SSAS MD formatting
Best Regards,
Angelia
