Copy filter value from other table field

Hi all!

I have a filter by Date in a report page that uses two tables. What I want is that when I update this filter (that comes from field Date in Table A) the field Date on Table B gets the same value. Is this possible? Any help is appreciated.

Regards

@Juramirez

The very easy and best solution is to join the tables.

May I know the reason why the join is not working.

Can you drop a Snip..?

@pxg08680

I just did that, in fact you answered in my topic. I don't know what the problem is and I'm looking for other options to solve it.

In the previous topic you have data only for FEB month*.

Can you provide a screenshot what your filter is resulting...?

@pxg08680

This is the Excel file that I used to do the report in the other Topic:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8dgHywU59SkQ2FHTnlHV2Rubnc

It has more months than FEB but i don't know why I can't see them.

@Juramirez

You are trying to find  common dates in both the tables and displaying their respective other columns. So,

Create a column using IF condition and compare both the dates from tableA and tableB and return the dates which are common.

Make use of these new dates(as filter) which are common in both the tables.

Don't know if it's a correct way but trying to provide a solution.

@pxg08680

Thanks for your help but I tried it and it doesn't work. Can you provide and example with the file that I attached?

@Juramirez

You have two date columns in two different tables. The filter should give same date for a selection right..?

If this is what you want, join the two tables with date column and in the filter drop the date column from any table and this gives you the result.

"What I want is that when I update this filter" . Does this mean when you make a selection..?

Hi @pxg08680

Yes, it should give same date when i select a value from the date filter. I just did the join between both tables but it isn't working. There's not other option to do this? Like a measure or something related?

Regards

@Juramirez,
