Visualize toll gates in line chart

Hi forum,

I have a rich dataset that I am trying to visualize over time. In simple terms I would like to put in different project toolgate dates (fixed dates) in a line chart where all the project financial data is displayed over time so it will be easy to check what the financial status was at a given toll gate? Is this possible or is there another clever way of showing a particular financial metric at a specific point in time? a slicer perhaps?
