How to reflect new y-axis range when data option is selected in slicer

1. Started with a Sales Change bar graph and slicer for different years 2016 May to 2017 August.

2. When the year-month option is selected on the slicer the visual comes off but the original axis range still remain the same, so the visuals come off as very small within the overlay.

Q: How do you alter the new y-axis range to project a different scale when a data option is selected in the slicer.

I thought I could paste the visual but it is not working via the "Insert/edit image" feature here within the body of this post.
